Peel and core the apples and cut them into eighths.
Mix the flour, sugars, spices, and lemon.
Toss with the apples until well coated.
Place in pie pan lined with pie dough.
Dot with the butter
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Bake for 5 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F and bake for 40 minutes.
Pie can be served warm with cream or cold with ice cream.
