Blueberry Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 Cups Fresh blueberries
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

  2. Combine the sugar, flour and lemon juice. (You can substitute the lemon juice with a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon) 

  3. If your fruit is juicy add 2 teaspoons of quick-cooking tapioca.

  4. Sprinkle the ingredients over the berries and stir gently until well blended. Let stand for 15 minutes.

  5. Turn the fruit into the pie shell and dot with 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter.

  6. Cover the pie with a well-pricked top or with a lattice. Bake the pie in a 450-degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to 350 degrees and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
